Bio:  Duncan C. Brand is a leadership and organizational effectiveness advisor who helps organizations design future-ready leadership systems that strengthen culture, develop talent, and drive measurable business results. As founder of Intrinsic Leader, he partners with C-suite executives and senior teams to build leadership pipelines, improve succession readiness, and align talent strategies with business goals. With over 15 years of experience across global technology, healthcare, public sector, and professional services organizations, Duncan has led enterprise initiatives in leadership, talent, and organizational effectiveness that have increased engagement, accelerated internal mobility, reduced time-to-hire, and strengthened leadership capacity at scale. His work combines research-based frameworks, data-driven measurement, executive coaching, and facilitation to help organizations translate strategy into sustainable performance. He previously held senior roles in talent and organizational effectiveness at companies including Cisco, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Swedish Health Services, and Unify Consulting, where he developed leadership systems, competency frameworks, and succession strategies for complex, global organizations. Duncan holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, an MBA from Golden Gate University, and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from California State University, Sacramento. He is an ICF-certified executive coach, a certified practitioner in emotional and social intelligence, and the author of Mind the Gap, a book focused on helping organizations become more people-focused and build stronger leadership systems for navigating change and growth. His work is grounded in a simple principle: great organizations are built by great leaders, and great leaders are developed through intentional systems that support both people and performance.
