Bio: John T. Eggers, Ph.D., is a leadership development consultant, executive coach, facilitator, and President of Transitional Goal Achievers, LLC, where he helps supervisors, managers, senior leaders, and executives strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness, organizational culture, and performance. With more than four decades of experience spanning consulting, corrections, federal service, military leadership, and adult education, John brings a practical and research-informed approach to developing leaders at every level. He spent 20 years with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services before joining the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Corrections, where he designed, delivered, and evaluated leadership and management development programs for correctional professionals across more than 40 states. His work has included executive and leadership development, psychological capital, team building, strategic planning, dialogue, systems thinking, organizational improvement, and leadership in safety-critical environments. John has also conducted extensive research and evaluation related to leadership development, Leader-Member Exchange, Full Range Leadership, psychological capital, leadership complexity, and leader identity. A veteran with 24 years of military service across the U.S. Navy, Nebraska Air National Guard, and Nebraska Army National Guard, including service during the Vietnam era, John brings additional perspective on leadership, resilience, accountability, and performance under pressure. Known for combining evidence-based leadership practices with practical application, John helps leaders increase self-awareness, strengthen teams, navigate complexity, and create healthier, higher-performing organizations.
