Kate Miller

Bio : Kate Miller is a conflict resolution specialist, mediator, counselor, and founder of Compassionate Resolutions, where she helps individuals, families, workplace teams, and communities navigate conflict, restore trust, and create meaningful, lasting change. With more than 20 years of experience in counseling, mediation, crisis intervention, advocacy, and program development, Kate brings a compassionate and strategic approach to helping people communicate more effectively, take responsibility, and move toward constructive outcomes. She previously served as an At-Risk Counselor and Program Leader where she supported students and families facing academic, emotional, and social challenges, developed trauma-informed training for faculty and staff, and facilitated mediation between students, families, administrators, and community partners. Earlier in her career, Kate served as a Juvenile Diversion Counselor and Program Director for Law Enforcement, creating intervention and prevention programs for youth and families, advocating for victims of crime and abuse, and collaborating with law enforcement, healthcare providers, schools, and social service agencies. She holds a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution and a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling and is trained in restorative justice, victim advocacy, domestic violence intervention, and compassionate crisis response. Known for her warmth, active listening, and collaborative leadership style, Kate creates environments rooted in dignity, equity, trust, and mutual respect, empowering people to recognize one another’s strengths, rebuild relationships, and move forward with greater clarity and shared purpose.
